Birthday Book Giveaway!

Hey guys, as my birthday is coming up at the end of the month I thought I'd share the love and host a giveaway. It seems like a good way to say thank you to my followers for sticking with my erratic blogging habits and leaving such nice and thoughtful comments.

I don't get paid to do book reviews or recieve any free books or swag from authors/publishers, so I'm afraid I can't afford to offer amazing prizes like I want to. However, I managed to find some books on my shelf that I enjoyed but am unlikely to have time to read again. They've all been read but are still in good condition. I can't afford to ship them abroad so they are only open to those with a UK address.

But so my followers from across the pond don't feel left out, I'm also offering a book from Amazon, which is open internationally. So I have a total of four prizes to give away to FOUR lucky winners:

1) Pre-loved copy of Fever by Christine Feehan-UK and 18+ ONLY
2) Pre-loved copy of If I Stay by Gayle Forman-UK ONLY
3) Pre-loved copy of The Beach Cafe by Lucy Diamond-UK ONLY
4) A book of your choice from Amazon, up to the value of  £5 ($7.82)-INTERNATIONAL

Rules and How to Enter

  1. You must be a blog follower to enter the giveaway.
  2. Please answer the following question in the comments section: 'Which of your birthdays was your favourite and why?'. Also tell me which of the four prizes you would like to win and leave an email address or blog url so I contact you if you win.
  3. Contest closes on Fri 27th July. I will pick my four favourite comments and announce the winners on Sat 28th. Prizes could take up to five working days to ship as I'll be away for my birthday weekend.
Have fun entering and good luck!

  1. If I Stay.

My 21st was my favorite, and not for the obvious reasons. My son was 6 months old, and we were headed out to a family meal. He chose this time to get scared of the dark and managed to be sick over 3 outfits before we even got the the restaurant (I was on my own driving with him so other parents can imagine how this was effecting my nerves). By the time we got there I was ready to say hi, enjoy the meal and leave them to it - though they rallied around, calmed him down (much to my annoyance because he wouldn't settle for me) and I had a great meal out. Luckily he slept on the journey back home but it showed me how much my family are there if I need them.

My favourite was my 18th. We went to Leicester Square to see a film and then to a really posh restaurant in London. It was amazing.

  4. On my 7th birthday my Grandmother gave me a wish. I could have anything I wanted - within reason. After much deciding I chose a pair of red patent leather Mary Janes - a la THE WIZARD OF OZ. Very impractical, but I LOVED them!!

  6. Hi!
My 18th b-day is my fav! Why? Because, I was with my 3 best friends then and we were having so much fun. They prepared me a surprise and hide 18 little presents around our classroom. Presents were not much of value, but girls showed they thought about my fav things (fav chocolate, pretty pencil sharpener, home made bookmarker with my fav actor etc.)

  9. Great giveaway :) My favourite birthday was my 8th birthday party because this was the last time I remember being genuinely excited to wake up and open presents etc. like at Christmas. Years after that I had to pick out my own presents and I knew of things such as surprise parties so my 8th was my last real childhood birthday memory and I remember being so excited that everytime some would come up to me and say 'Happy Birthday' I would reply 'you too' haha :)

  11. If I Stay by Gayle Forman (Giveaway number 2)

I think my thirteenth birthday was a favourite for me. Finally, I was going to be a teenager and that day I was going to the cinema and having a sleepover. I was so excited I got up at like 6A.M. and that's a big deal considering I was never a morning person. You know I can't even remember what movie we watched... The best thing about that birthday was probably the cake though. Who doesn't love chocolate on chocolate? The sleepover was a feast of snack foods and games of truth or dare. It was the best birthday because I was so excited and the day didn't disappoint.

  21. My favourite birthday has to be my 18th, Firstly I was becomming an Adult which at the time seemed great! but then my mum treated me to tickets to go and see Wicked on the west end! which I loved! It was also great because my sister had bought me a giftcard for Waterstones and they had a sale on at the time so (being the bargain hunter that I am) I managed to buy a bunch of books and still go home with money on my giftcard hehehe.

If I did win I would love Fever by Christine Feehan :D
